If you are tired of looking at animals, I can recommend taking a tree book along and to do some tree spotting at the lodge itself. I`m an avid tree spotter and this portion of Namibia, where Kifaru is situated, is considered a botanical hot spot in Namibia. You however get so much in return that you feel that you are the only one benefiting from staying there. For this reason alone, it is worth supporting them already. Kifaru is a very special place and their work and dedication towards Rhino conservation is commendable. You won`t want to leave your tent as it feels you are on holiday simply by being inside on your veranda. The tents have such nice vistas and are open and airy, which gives you the feeling of being right in the middle of nature from anywhere within your tent. The interior is aesthetically very pleasing here too local wood furniture was used. They allow maximum privacy and each tent has a beautiful view over the northern Namibian savanna. The luxury tents were very cleverly designed and they are spread out on koppie. I can definitely advise future travelers not to miss the lunch menu. It was always a highlight to go for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is fresh, local and extremely appetizing.

It can compete with any high end restaurant in Europe.

The food is probably of the highest quality and standard that I have consumed on any lodge in Namibia. Every staff member is pleasant and we were sad to say good-bye after three blissful days there. I can promise you that you will experience 5-star service here. What struck me here is how everything runs like clockwork and there are so many little things that happen in the background, like setting all the tables for a maximum of 4 (later just the 2 of us) guests, just in case you decide to sit at a different table for dinner or lunch. I am a seasoned traveler and have stayed from high end to budget lodgings all over the world. The welcome was warm and hearty and the staffs make you feel at home immediately and throughout your stay. When we arrived at the lodge, the vernacular architecture, the beautiful setting and the incredible natural surroundings of the lodge overwhelmed me.
